Blog#6 Pintarest

Hi, I'm Moe. I'd like to introduce a social media, Pintarest. It was made in America in 2008. It is the site that we can share favorite pictures with others. By using this site, we can make friends who have same  interests and hobbies, and talk with the friends about the pictures. It is like a magazine. For example, if you are interested in fashion, you can put the picture of your clothes, shoes, hats that you like on the site, and you can share your pictures with friends, and communicate with them about the picture like this.
"Hello, your clothes are very nice. Where did you buy them?
"Thank you. I bought them at Sunshine city at Ikebukuro.

This is some pictures on the Pinterest.

Blog#6: wellnote

Hi!! I'm Akari Higuchi. Today, I'd like to introduce one of social media, wellnote. Wellnote is SNS specialized in a family and provides a place where a family can communicate. You can use it by only your family, so you have no hesitancy in putting your photos or comments on the site. There are mainly three functions in wellnote. First, you can share photos with your family in a moment, so you can watch them on real-time wherever you are. Also, photos were saved in your photo album automatically, so you don't have to file them. Second, you can tell your family that you are healthy by only clicking 'smile' mark. Of course, you send a message to your family, too. Third, you can get health information and popular column. Especially, the health information is distributed by more than 150 medical professions. Also, you can share the information with your family in a moment. SNS enabled to communicate with people in the whole world. But I think SNS is useful to contact your family and relatives living apart from you. So I think wellnote is the new state of SNS and such type of SNS will be needed more and more in the future!

Blog#5:The Lou Ruvo Center

Hi, I'm Moe. I'd like to introduce Frank Gehry's latest project, Lou Rubo center in Las Vegas, which  is a clinic for brain health. It opened on July, 2009. I was surprized that this building is for a clinic because the design is too dynamic for a clinic. Frank Gehry said that these complex constructions mean the structure of  human brain.

The most interesting charasteristic of this building is that there are "two wings", that is, the building is separated to two parts of structures.

If you want to know the building more, please watch this movie.

Blog#5: Ray and Maria Stata Center

Hi! I'm Akari Higuchi. Today, I'd like to introduce my favorite architecture in the works of Frank Gehry. My favorite one is the Ray and Maria Stata Center. Surprisingly, it's located on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus in the U.S. and used as an computer science laboratories and classrooms! The construction started in March 2000 and opened on 16 March 2004. The scale of the center is 713,000-square-foot and it includes five classes of 11,000 square-foot and 625 seats. There are not only classrooms, but also a food court, fitness center and swimming pool. When I saw the building in the first time, I thought it seems a building in a fantasy because its shape is unusual! Don't you think the shape and colors are so cute? I think my school life will become more enjoyable if my university would be such a design!

These pictures  are the exterior and interior of the Stata Center!

You can see it in the video, too!
