Blog#4:Guggenheim Museum Bilbao

Hi, I'm Tomoko. Today, I'm going to introduce Guggenheim Museum Bilbao which designed by Frank Gehry. This building is an annex of Guggenheim Museum. It was opened in 1997. It looks like a ship or a fish, but, in fact, it was imaged a port town, Bilbao. It is said that this building is  a masterpiece of deconstruction. Since it was opened, a million of tourists visited here to see it a year. So, thanks to this building, Bilbao city prospered. This museum exhibit modern art works mainly, especially, works in twentieth century. I think this building is easy to understand that this is an art museum, because it is a very aesthetic building on the outside. Therefore, visitors can enjoy watching not only art works but also this building. For example, they can take pictures in front of this building as a memento. In short, I like an outward appearance of Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and want to visit here at least once.
